Reporting something wrong
If a profile is not what it claims, or somebody is behaving badly, tell us. Reports are read by the platform, not by your regional committee.
In an emergency
If somebody is in immediate danger, call the police. This platform is not an emergency service and nobody is watching it overnight.
Reporting a matrimonial profile
The quickest way is from the profile itself, once you are signed in: there is a report control on every profile page. You are asked why, and you can add detail. You can also block somebody, which hides each of you from the other immediately and does not tell them.
The reasons we ask about:
- a fake profile, or somebody pretending to be another person,
- somebody already married,
- inappropriate photographs,
- harassment,
- details that are not correct,
- or anything else, with an explanation.
What happens next
A profile reported by several people is hidden from search automatically, as a precaution rather than a judgement, until somebody has looked. A platform reviewer then reads the report and either upholds it, which suspends the profile, or dismisses it, which puts the profile back.
Both outcomes are written down and recorded. Reports do not go to your regional President, because a President may well know both families.
What we will not do
Tell you who reported a profile, tell somebody that you reported or blocked them, or pass a message between two members. There is no messaging on this platform at all.

A problem with the website, an account or a payment goes to the usual contacts. A concern about how your data has been handled goes to privacy@ranasamaj.org.
