What the Samaj offers
Most of what a Samaj does for its members happens locally, arranged by that committee. The platform carries what they publish rather than running anything of its own.
Where things are announced
- Announcements carry notices from every committee: meetings, elections, appeals, condolences.
- Events carry everything with a date and a place, from Navratri to a youth careers day.
- A region's own page carries its committee, its contact details and everything it has published.
Things committees commonly run
These vary by region, and the only reliable way to find out what yours does is to ask the committee. Between them, Samaj across the three countries organise:
- festival gatherings, most visibly Navratri,
- annual general meetings and committee elections,
- youth and careers events, and mentoring between families,
- support for families at a bereavement or a wedding,
- and the matrimonial introductions this platform now carries.
If you want to organise something
Talk to your committee. If you are on one, you can publish events and announcements to your own region from the administrative side, and the guide explains how.
